In my Master Bath, I have several drawers in my vanity. But they filled up quickly with my blow dryer, curling irons, hair products, and other personal care items.
I found I still needed a way to organize a bunch of little things like cotton balls, bobby pins, tweezers, band-aids, etc. My husband suggested a utility drawer that you find in the tool storage section of a retail store.
I found a perfect one with 12 small drawers, but it looked rather… utilitarian. (Designed to be useful or practical rather than attractive.)
So, I put my creativity into action:
First, I took the drawers out and spray painted the whole thing white. Then I hand-painted gold on the lips of the individual drawers.
Next, I measured the front window section of the drawers. I then used my scrapbook software to make individual labels. I chose a damask background to make it look… uh.. stylishly chic. 🙂
I then printed the labels on plain ‘ole regular paper and cut them out. I attached them to the front of the drawers with double-sided tape.
And waa laa! A beautiful storage center to set on the counter next to my bathroom sinks.
