The power of positive thoughts.
I recently attended a mentoring group session hosted by an amazing man, Bill McMaster.
It’s based on The 3 Key Elements defined by Kirk Duncan.
Bill taught that one of the main things holding us back and keeping us from the happiness and success that we want is THE CONVERSATIONS IN OUR HEAD!
More than any other factor, the conversations in your mind are what dictate your level of happiness, the degree of your financial success, the extent of confidence you feel in your appearance, and the vibrancy of your personal relationships.
Studies show that the things we say to ourselves or think about all day long are negative 80% of the time.
Building a mind of steel.
We have to reprogram our minds and those little voices in our heads that are holding us back.
There are several important steps in doing this:
- Have morning mirror time every day. Look into your eyes. Smile. Say out loud, “I love myself.” Force yourself to vocally admire and appreciate everything about you. Forgive yourself.
- Carry a notebook and pen throughout the day. Write down the things you say or thing about yourself.
- Write down 2 positives for every negative.
- Create a Personal Empowerment Motto to say all throughout the day and when you look in the mirror, e.g., “My body is a lean, mean, muscle-building, fat-burning machine.”
