Yep, that’s me.
I live in Arizona. And this summer has been a hot one! And, to top it all off, I don’t have air conditioning. I still rely on an old swamp cooler. So, to keep the heat out as much as possible, I have thick, insulated blinds and shades drawn down all the time. This begins to make me feel stifled and suffocated.
But, today there is nice cloud coverage. And the weather is forecast-ed to be in the 90’s instead of the 100’s (degrees F). So I have pulled up the blinds and let the sunlight in. Oh it feels glorious!
I can see! I can breathe! I can feel my Savior’s love!
Our dog, Bruce, loves to sit and look out open windows too. His smile proves it’s good for his soul.
Now I think I’ll go simmer something that smells good on the stove to add to this calming atmosphere.
It’s the little things in life, really. Even though I still struggle with who I am and what I need to be doing to fulfill my mission here on earth, I can sense that my Father is here with me.
I’m glad that I’m a highly sensitive soul. Because I love it when I sense Him near.
